Queen City Brewery opened in June 2014 and is located in a renovated warehouse in Burlington's historically industrial South End. Our rotating beer list might include a delicate German lager, a robust Scottish winter warmer, a regional American specialty, an ancient monastic beer and an elegant English ale.

Paul Hale, Managing Partner and Brewmaster, founded Queen City Brewery in 2012 along with partners Paul Held, Phil Kaszuba, and Maarten and Sarah van Ryckevorsel. As long-time friends and home brewers with a fondness for traditional beer styles, QCB represents to us the culmination of nearly 30 years of recipe formulation and research (i.e., beer trips to Europe).
Lillian MacNamara is QCB's Head Brewer. Lillian started with us in 2014 after nearly a decade of experience in the craft brewing community, including brewer positions with Hop’n Moose Brewing Company, Magic Hat Brewing Company, Otter Creek Brewing Company, and Oregon Trail Brewery.
Jason Held is our Tasting Room Manager, providing friendly, knowledgable service behind our beautiful 50 year old mahogany bar.
Ben Gostanian is Assistant Brewer at Queen City. Ben previously was an assistant brewer and jack-of-all-trades at Farnham Brewery.
What's New at QCB
January 3, 2017 - Happy New Year from all of us at Queen City! We have recently introduced our "Pint Street" Barrel-Aged Series here at the brewery. Available in 500 mL bottles: (1) Old Monty Barleywine-Style Ale aged in Chardonnay barrels and (2) Lillian's Saison, aged for 6 months in Carbernet Franc barrels with indigenous Brettanomyces.
